DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Partnership Sales team at Fenway Sports Management serves as a fully integrated sales organization for Fenway Sports Group. The team is responsible for driving significant revenue, working with FSG’s owned and operated properties as well as strategic partners across the portfolio. We accomplish our goals by cultivating relationships with world-class brands and providing customized solutions to tell powerful stories through the iconic properties that we work with.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role will play a crucial role in shaping our strategic initiatives and driving revenue growth by identifying and evaluating potential partnership opportunities. This position requires a strategic thinker with a holistic and analytical approach to market and industry analysis. The role will be instrumental in uncovering new sales prospects by providing data-driven analysis of relevant categories, geographies, and companies, ensuring that FSM remains competitive and well-informed in the sales process. This role is essential for enabling the team to stay ahead of industry trends and leverage market intelligence to gain a competitive edge.
CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of professional experience in market research, insights, strategy, or a related field.
- Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn.
- Experience or strong interest in sports and entertainment sponsorship.
- Skilled in data analysis, market trend assessment, industry research, and prospect evaluation.
- Passionate about financial markets and staying informed on industry trends.
- Motivated self-starter, able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, quick to adapt to new tools.
- Familiarity with prospecting tools like Pitchbook, Zoominfo, Winmo, and SponsorUnited, a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive research on market developments to understand emerging trends and assess their impact on categories, companies, and potential sponsorship opportunities.
- Stay informed on notable marketing developments of blue-chip brands and proactively monitor latest market developments and trends
- Serve as a power user of prospecting intelligence tools including Pitchbook, Zoominfo, Winmo, and SponsorUnited daily to provide actionable insights that help inform and enhance sales strategy.
- Support the creation of sales strategy collateral, including but not limited to go-to market reports, category strategy documents, intelligence reports, & scorecards.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Strategy, and Solutions teams to prioritize key research areas.
- Build and maintain a network of industry experts to stay ahead of trends and strengthen sales efforts.
- Evaluate third-party vendors to ensure FSM remains competitive and effective.
