Analysts Program - Start Your Career in Real Estate Development
Want to start your career in real estate development with an on-the-job MBA at a leading Vancouver-based Real Estate development company?
Over the last 15-years successful participants from Mosaic’s Analyst Program have gone on to leadership roles in all major functions within real estate development.
More than a job, as an Analyst, you’ll gain broad, multi-disciplinary exposure across the business. In this full-time in office role, you’ll provide data and analysis in core business functions to inform decisions and participate in a professional development program with your fellow Analysts.
Analysts will be assigned to either Land Acquisitions & Development, Construction, or Market and over the course of the program, may rotate assignments. In each assignment, you will report to and be mentored by a Senior Vice President to guide your growth. You will also benefit from Analyst team group work.

Responsibilities

Market Analyst. In this seat, you’ll conduct market research for pricing and positioning Mosaic properties throughout Metro Vancouver. You will be responsible to produce regular reports on new home sales and pre-sales, research and report on special assignments relevant to the company’s development plans, network with others in industry, visit competitor sites, and conduct research to assess project revenues for the purpose of acquisitions.
Land & Development Analyst. In this seat, you’ll research development applications in process across municipalities in Metro Vancouver, research land transactions and perform comparable analyses, conduct drawing reviews of competitor applications, complete competitor reviews and proforma analysis, monitor media for industry updates and changes, and produce reports including monthly municipal approvals track record, weekly council meeting reports, and concrete metrics.
Construction Analyst. In this seat, you will be responsible to prepare take-offs for estimation, maintain cost metrics, track quantities of labour and materials consumed across our projects, and analyze change orders and budget overages to recommend improvements. You’ll spend time on site assisting with site administration, generate and maintain lists of trades and notable projects, analyze competitor projects and investigate alternative products and strategies to meet changing building performance requirements.
This role is right for you if you want to build a base of knowledge, skills, and abilities before you specialize in a particular area. Like getting your MBA, this program isn’t for everyone. You’ll work hard, need to be flexible, get lots of feedback to help you grow, and test your limits. You’ll build deep connections and gain a holistic understanding of the business which has led many past participants to successful leadership roles in the industry.
Though your interests may lie in architecture, accounting, construction, interior design, or marketing & sales, your enthusiasm for being the best at what you do is what counts the most. Come grow with us.
