Description
Partner with vendor on timely and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely calculations, deductions, and withholdings. Validate and reconcile timekeeping records, addressing any discrepancies or anomalies. Validate and process salary adjustments, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation components. Collaborate closely with HR to ensure employee data is accurate and up to date. Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Stay informed about changes in labor and tax regulations to ensure compliance in payroll practices. Prepare and submit required payroll reports to local authorities. Handle payroll inquiries from employees and provide excellent customer service. Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information. Performs other related duties as assigned to support the business. China Payroll (70%) Manage monthly payroll runs across multiple provinces. Coordinate with external vendors and government agencies to ensure timely submissions. Collaborate with global payroll teams to maintain consistency in policies and practices across APAC. Prepare payroll reports for Finance, HR, and management, support audits and statutory filings. Provide timely support to employees on payroll-related inquiries. 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Social Insurance (五险) - pension, medical, unemployment, work injury, maternity. Housing Fund (住房公积金) - mandatory employer/employee contributions. Individual Income Tax (IIT) - monthly withholding and annual reconciliation. Annual Bonus Taxation - special calculation rules for year-end bonuses. Liaise directly with Chinese regulators and local authorities to ensure timely filings. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Minimum 7 years of payroll operations experience, preferably in multinational companies. Strong knowledge of statutory payroll compliance in China, India, the Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Mandarin language capability and proven experience liaising with Chinese regulators on payroll and compliance matters will be advantageous Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems; familiarity with SAP or Workday is an advantage. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication ability. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
