Reporting to the Senior Manager, Plant Finance, as the Analyst, Plant Finance, you will be responsible for providing decision support and thought leadership to enable our Potash sites and operating segment to make better, smarter decisions faster. You will have expertise in accounting and business process and has strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This role will be responsible for working with the Potash Business Partner team and site personnel to provide direction and analysis to aid in decision making related to operating costs, forecasts, and budgets.

Responsibilities
  • Provide analysis to guide decisions that are aligned with the business strategy for both the short-term and long-term
  • Analyze, interpret, and provide forward-looking information to present to the senior leadership team for decision making
  • Quickly and efficiently compute and analyze scenarios and forecasts
  • Review costs, identifying trends and implications of current costs on future costs and of costs at varying production levels
  • Provide cost review and cost driver data to site personnel in a timely manner
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis for various stakeholders
  • Assist the Potash Business Partner Team in making key financial data readily available to leaders across the Potash Operating Segment
  • Support and assist with continuous improvement initiatives and projects
  • Assist in the preparation of the operating annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports relating to costs, financial decision making, and plant performance
  • Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data from various financial systems to be used for analysis
  • Use data analysis tools to assist in uncovering key insights that lead to better informed decision-making
