REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial reporting, or related field from a recognized institution. Postgraduate or professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW) are preferred.
  • At least 5 years experience in financial reporting, preferably within a multinational organization or a Big 4 company. Experience in the construction or oil and gas industry is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting skills, with a deep understanding of regulatory standards.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, capable of handling complex data and crafting impactful presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with accountants globally and producing well-structured written materials with meaningful insights.
  • Strategic and solution-oriented thinker with a detailed and systematic approach to addressing complex issues.
  • Proactive, motivated, and capable of working within tight deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment. Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the roll-out of group accounting policies and procedures, tailoring them to meet local and global requirements while promoting best practices within the Finance department.
  • Conduct a detailed SWOT Analysis to identify areas for improvement within the group, guiding the global team towards harmonisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and enhance consolidation, reporting, and accounting processes.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls to uphold data integrity and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance and reporting excellence by developing and maintaining consolidated financial statements and schedules in adherence to IFRS standards and Group accounting policies.
  • Provide strategic insights by assisting in the preparation of board presentations, offering crucial financial insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Execute and review compliance with Group Policies, including monitoring and reporting Group Financial Reporting KPIs.
  • Lead process improvement and innovation by renewing and improving processes, accounting manuals, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction. Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains.
  • Manage and participate in special finance projects, adapting to changing organizational needs and taking a hands-on role in project execution.
