Walk Free is the creator of the Global Slavery Index, the world's most comprehensive data set on modern slavery. We use this data to mobilise powerful forces for change against these human rights abuses. Job Description Walk Free is seeking a dynamic and analytical Analyst, Policy & Research to join our team in Perth, Australia. This exciting role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission of eradicating modern slavery through cutting-edge research and impactful policy advocacy. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on the scale, nature, and responses to modern slavery worldwide Analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable insights for various stakeholders Draft high-quality research reports and advocacy materials tailored to diverse audiences Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders Monitor regional-specific research, media, and opportunities aligned with Walk Free's strategy Contribute to policy recommendations targeting governments, private sector, investors, and faith leaders Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions in the fight against modern slavery Provide administrative support and manage external inquiries as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in international relations, international development, human rights, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in research, policy analysis, or human rights advocacy Demonstrated knowledge of modern slavery issues and understanding of related human rights challenges Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high-quality research and advocacy materials Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience working in international and cross-cultural contexts Proficiency in a language other than English is highly desirable Data analysis skills are a plus Strong project management and organizational abilities Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders Innovative thinking and the capacity to develop creative solutions to complex problems Additional Information Next Steps Please attach your resume and a cover letter (no more than two pages) outlining how you meet the above criteria.
