Our Macquarie Capital’s Principal Finance team invests Macquarie’s own capital with a flexible mandate to invest across the capital structure from senior debt to common equity. We target businesses across a broad range of sectors, asset classes, investment structures, and geographies across APAC.

What role will you play?
As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to experience significant deal flow and gain exposure to every stage of the deal cycle, from sourcing to deal execution, as well as ongoing portfolio management.
Bringing your inquisitive nature, you will carry out fundamental company and industry research, including liaising with management teams, external experts and in-house resources. You will deliver sound financial analysis and have an active hand in structuring deals, running diligence workstreams and have greater origination responsibilities such as assisting Directors in all aspects of the deal cycle, as well as subsequent investment portfolio management. This is an opportunity to take early responsibility, working alongside seasoned professionals in a dynamic team.

What you offer

  • Up to 2 years of experience in a top-tier investment bank, management consulting, M&A advisory, or similar investment firm
  • Excellent financial modelling capabilities, including financial statement analysis, valuation, forecasting and scenario analysis
  • Highly inquisitive nature and motivation to learn about a diverse range of industries
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present key insights to senior stakeholders
  • Team player approach and able to excel in a fast paced and challenging work environment
  • High energy level with the desire to contribute to the ongoing success and expansion of the Principal Finance group at Macquarie.
