Overview The Analyst works under the direction and supervision of senior team members to analyze, evaluate and execute potential unitranche or mezzanine debt investments and corresponding equity co-investment. The Analyst works closely with other investment team members in modeling and analyzing potential investment opportunities, performing due diligence, preparing investment committee memo's and supporting deal origination, business development and marketing activities. Responsible for three primary functions: Create initial deal screen memos, model and analyze new opportunities, and track deal flow in CRM and other jobs as requested. The Analyst supports the investment team by preparing the appropriate financial and market analyses for new investments and supporting deal origination activities under the direction of senior deal team members. Responsible for developing relationships with senior deal team members and the management team of portfolio companies. Over time, with demonstrated experience, will assume more responsibilities with respect to leading diligence and evaluating investments. Is a team player, with a strong work ethic and the ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail. Works with some supervision and is responsible for independently making some decisions, escalating to management when appropriate and keeping management current. Responsibilities What you will do: Assists in underwriting deals assigned by either a Managing Director or Director, utilizing established underwriting criteria, and subject to review and approval by senior team members. Prepares financial analyses and due diligence review, in order to make recommendations regarding the pursuit of potential transactions that are consistent with Eagle Realty Groups (ERG) investment strategies. Prepares initial deal model and evaluation memo for senior management's review. Models and analyzes potential investments using various valuation techniques including leveraged buyout modeling, three statement modeling, comparable transactions etc. Participates in meetings with senior members of Western and Southern Financial Group, management teams of targets and private equity groups. Supporting deal origination, business development, and marketing activities. Prepares and assesses comparable transactions data for proposed investments and incorporates findings in final underwriting. Reviews files and emails to confirm that all required underwriting material has been collected and is properly filed in the appropriate electronic location. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or Economics or related field. - Required Typically requires zero to three years related experience. - Required Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities. - Required Ability to think creatively and articulate complex ideas simply and clearly. - Required Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills. - Required Accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. - Required Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines. - Required Team player with strong work ethic and integrity. - Required Experience using and creating financial models. - Required Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products. - Required Work Setting/Position Demands: This position travels and works in various office settings and requires being in a stationary position for long periods of time frequently while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires frequent movement of wrist, hands and fingers for continuous computer work. Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis. Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work. Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
