About us
The Public Affairs Unit supports the President in the national positioning and engagement of EPFL. It contributes to EPFL’s development and helps promoting the institution across Switzerland. It is also closely involved in all policy-related issues, including initiatives that are being developed on associated EPFL campuses.

Responsibilities
  • Provide background information and draft/write memos for the President and the Director of Public Affairs
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on risks and opportunities of strategic and complex projects, including political evaluations
  • Monitor and analyze federal and cantonal political objects in the Education Research and Innovation (ERI) domain directly or indirectly affecting EPFL activities and missions
  • Coordinate different actors across EPFL for a coherent representation of the needs for engagement with national and cantonal political actors
  • Support the Director of Public Affairs for the coordination of contacts with the associated campuses and the cantons, advise on strategic collaborations for EPFL and implement projects
  • Organize, realize and follow up on visits of national delegations to EPFL, in collaboration with other EPFL units
  • Build up and maintain the CRM of the unit, in close collaboration with International Affairs and the Presidency
