Reporting to our Leader in China, you will be the quality assurance partner for finished products (small appliances, major appliances, CPG) across the Latin NAR region (mainly Mexico and the US). Your mission is to ensure flawless product launches and drive continuous quality improvement in our supplier network. Your responsibilities will include New Product Quality (NPI): Lead the quality lifecycle for new products, ensuring suppliers meet rigorous standards by delivering key quality gates like PIQ (APQP) and PPAP for a seamless, defect-free launch; Supplier Performance & Development: Lead the qualification of new suppliers and manage the continuous improvement of existing suppliers. Develop customized intervention plans for underperforming suppliers to achieve and maintain IATF 16949 compliance; Continuous Improvement & Analytics: Use advanced data analytics (e.g., Six Sigma concepts) to interpret complex product failure data, identify top global failure modes (GSIR), and execute cross-functional projects to reduce the Total Cost of Quality (TCQ) significantly; Systematic Problem Solving: Utilize formal problem-solving methodologies (8D/A3) to analyze significant quality issues, ensure timely closure with permanent corrective actions, and prevent recurrence; Global Alignment: Collaborate with international teams to drive global quality initiatives, align on standards, and scale best practices across the organization. Minimum requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering or Science. Experience: Desirable: 2+ years in Quality, preferably in the appliance industry. Language: Fluent English (oral and written) is mandatory. Technical Knowledge: Proven knowledge and ability to apply quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, and 8D. Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, data analytical capabilities, and experience with process/product quality management. Travel: Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally. Schedule: Flexibility to join evening calls (approx. 2-6 hours/week) with the global team.
