Functional Responsibility The Credit Risk Oversight organization within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for independently overseeing and challenging the company’s credit risk taking and credit risk management activities, including the comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of credit risks within the company’s risk appetite. We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented professional with technical expertise for credit risk governance. Responsibilities for this role include governance, reporting & analytics, working with stakeholders across the enterprise, regulatory support and building capabilities. The incumbent will report to the Manager, Global Credit Risk Oversight. Key Responsibilities: Governance Maintain Credit Risk Management Policy Maintain credit risk standards, procedures (in collaboration with functional team) and templates (e.g., reports, MEMO etc.) Ensure adherence to credit risk board approved plan and findings resolution Conduct QC checks on 2LOD review reports Reporting & Analytics Quarterly Aggregate Credit Risk Assessment Report Report Risk Appetite Framework (RAF) results and escalations and Control and Compliance (C&C) metrics Utilize SQL and/or Python to extract, manipulate, and prepare large data sets Work with large datasets to develop thresholds and perform risk analytics using statistical techniques MIS reporting to partner teams (e.g., findings tracker, Smart Monitoring alert reports) Perform ad-hoc analytics and reporting on credit findings (e.g., finding themes etc.) Internal Audit, Regulatory and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Support Coordinate with functional team on IAG and regulatory requests Coordinate and prepare meeting materials for quarterly interagency meeting Matters Requiring Attention (MRA) and regulatory recommendation remediation Capabilities Support the Portfolio Analytics team to develop next generation MIS capability Collaborate with GRC capabilities team to support Archer and other foundational capabilities Develop automated tools to write and QC review reports using LLM models Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in management or science (statistics, engineering, decision science, finance, economics, or closely related fields) Graduate degree such as M.S. and Ph.D. (in statistics, finance, economics, or closely related fields); or MBA is a plus Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills; Strong data & analytical skills; Proficiency in SQL and Python Able to demonstrate strong knowledge of risk and financial management Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to clearly articulate or interpret technical documents, regulatory guidelines, and complex project requirements in a concise manner to various stakeholders Outstanding multi-tasking and project management skills Superb teamwork aptitude, to work with colleagues and stakeholder across various AXP offices globally Extremely high attention to detail Self-starter and enthusiastic attitude Leadership Skills: Self-confident with a strong sense of integrity and the ability and willingness to challenge and be challenged; Ability to communicate oversight findings to credit risk peers, business partners, and senior executives; Strong verbal and written communication skills.
