"The primary responsibility of this role is to lead strategic supplier management for categories related to Fabrications, Stampings, NF Castings and Forgings, Ferrous metals & Copper/Aluminum, SPM Categories as part Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team. Candidate to engage in identifying, developing, and maintaining services that deliver significant cost out opportunities as well as creating a robust pipeline of executable cost out projects along with supplier management. The applicant should have capability to analyze commodity spend data & leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new project costout opportunities. The incumbent needs to have basic mechanical manufacturing knowledge and experience with managing suppliers." 1) Supplier Engagement: Establish direct connect with suppliers to drive performance, compliance, and engage/drive cost-out initiatives. 2) Spend Analysis & Categorization: Analyze supplier spend by part type, ledger, and division; attribute and clean data for actionable insights. 3) SCM KPI Delivery: Monitor and improve KPIs such as cost-out, DPO, working capital improvement, and resiliency targets. 4) Strategy Execution: Implement strategies for supplier consolidation, dual sourcing, exit/resourcing dec, and RFQ execution in alignment with category managers 5) Fact Pack Development: Build supplier profiles and negotiation packages to support strategic decisions and site alignment. 6) Tail Spend Optimization: Apply 80/20 analysis and volume aggregation to rationalize parts and reduce supplier base complexity. 7) Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with category managers, engineering, and plant teams to align sourcing decisions with business priorities. 8) Digital Tools & Reporting: Leverage analytics platforms and dashboards to track supplier performance and project outcomes."
