POSITION OVERVIEW:

StepStone Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Vendor Management team as an Analyst. The Analyst will support the end-to-end oversight of third-party vendors to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role involves risk assessment, due diligence, performance monitoring, and the ongoing evaluation of vendors. This includes reviewing Vendors across a range of categories, including technology providers, fund administrators, banks, law firms, consultants, professional service firms etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. A high level of attention to detail, a proactive and self-starting attitude and a commitment to meeting deadlines are essential for success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field (required).
  • 1–3 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, risk management, compliance, audit or a related function (preferred).
  • Experience in financial services or a regulated industry is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence on third-party vendors, including analysis of financial stability, regulatory compliance, information security, and operational risk.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Business Units) to support vendor selection, risk reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Support audit and regulatory requests by providing relevant vendor documentation and reporting.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry trends related to third-party risk management.
  • Conduct adverse media checks across all vendors.
  • Assistance with DDQ template and updating reporting template as part of annual review and maintenance.
  • Assistance with ad-hoc projects.
