Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The successful applicant of these newly created positions will join an intelligence team at the Human Source Management Unit (HSMU) that reports to the Manager Analyst, HSMU.
The HSMU not only provides best practice advice in relation to the management of human sources, but also has an important role in assessing Victoria Police intelligence holdings. The mission of the HSMU is to ensure that Victoria Police’s use of human sources and the information they provide is effective, ethical and justifiable.

The HSMU is looking for a dynamic team player with an intrinsic drive to succeed. As an Analyst at the HSMU your role will involve:

  • Supporting work unit, divisional and command imperatives and reporting
  • Supporting work unit functions and responsibilities
  • Undertaking high quality research and analysis
  • Identification of trends related to work unit functions, responsibilities and priorities
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other intelligence practitioners and work unit stakeholders

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Proactive monitoring of Victoria Police intelligence holdings and corporate IT systems
  • Providing timely intelligence support to a variety of stakeholders across the HSMU
  • Supporting compliance with the Human Source Management Framework through the collection, collation, analysis and review of information
  • Preparing intelligence products and reports to assist decision makers
  • Identifying and escalating emerging trends or issues with regards to the Human Source Management Framework
