JOB SUMMARY

McKesson Canada’s Pharma Distribution team is seeking an Analyst FP&A to help support Cash Flow and Income Statement forecasting. Reporting to Senior Manager Cash Flow, this role will provide deep insights into the monthly, quarterly, and yearly operating cash flow patterns for the business. This role will support forecasting activities through analytics to further enhance key performance indicators. They will also serve as a trusted business partner to Distribution’s sub business units and will leverage resources across the organization to produce actionable insight for strategic decision making.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance or Accounting. Must have a CPA accounting designation or an MBA with a Finance background.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of finance or accounting experience and preferably with exposure to financial modeling
  • Able to manage tight deadline
  • Great organization skills
  • Sound and well-developed analytical skills, along with an ability to make well-reasoned and supported conclusions and able to clearly link financial results to operational drivers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and influence effectively with people at all levels including employee with limited financial background
  • Strong accountability and ownership mindset
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written in English and French.
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint

    The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Responsibilities
  • Model and predict monthly, quarterly, and yearly high importance cash forecast and report results against budget and plan.
  • Report daily and monthly cash results and key metrics and develop presentation materials to senior management such as management reports, dashboards, and variance analysis to provide key insight on operating and free cash flow metrics.
  • Lead ongoing conversation to drive accuracy in cashflow and better assess risk and opportunities
  • Provide insight into business drivers of the balance sheet and their prolonged effects on cash generation for the business.
  • Perform monthly close duties: month-end close review and analyses, and monthly forecast submission
  • Prepare executive level summaries and presentations to explain monthly results using both established and ad hoc reports
  • Ability to generate business insight from large datasets
  • Ability to work in cross functional team, gain insights, and apply new concepts to enhance business process and improve forecast accuracy in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to identify and improve processes for complex business processes
  • Support ad hoc analysis on other initiatives (as needed)
