Salary: Investment Analyst 15: Salaries typically range from $63,894 - $85,194 annually plus a performance-based incentive.
Location: FinDev Canada headquarters is in downtown Montreal. For the right candidate, Ottawa or Toronto will be considered, with the flexibility to work under a hybrid model (home/office).

KEY SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modelling and conceptual skills.

  • Language Proficiency:
  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).

  • Experience:
  • Prior experience with process development and documentation.
  • Experience in financing transactions in emerging and developing markets.
Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management: Contribute to the portfolio management activities, including spreading of financial statements, review of covenant compliance, analysis and processing of waivers, amendments, consents and disbursement requests.
  • Covenant Compliance: Track FinDev Canada’s counterparties covenants (financial, impact, business integrity, environmental and social) to ensure they are complied with.
  • Investment Reviews: Support Investment Officers in the preparation of annual reviews, credit rating updates, and periodic valuations of each investment in the portfolio.
  • Documentation Review: Review existing loan, equity, fund and project finance documentation to ensure key compliance elements are adequately reflected in monitoring systems and assess client reports ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and compliance with FinDev Canada’s policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in the development and review of existing portfolio management processes to help ensure alignment of FinDev Canada with industry best practices in Portfolio Management activities.
  • Communication and Reporting: Participate in internal discussions and external stakeholder engagement related to the portfolio.
