Biotrial Bioanalytical Services Inc. (BBS), laboratoire certifié BPL, situé à Laval, recherche un Analyste / Spécialiste de Laboratoire pour renforcer son équipe. Spécialisé en bioanalyse, notre entreprise offre une gamme de services sur mesure pour l’évaluation de médicaments et la recherche pharmacologique en s’appuyant sur des technologies de pointe telle que la spectrométrie de masse (LC/MS).
En tant qu’analyste / spécialiste de laboratoire, vous serez responsable de soutenir les opérations quotidiennes du laboratoire et de contribuer à la réalisation de projets en laboratoire.

Sous la supervision du gestionnaire du contrôle de la qualité et d’équipe bioanalytique, vos principales responsabilités seront les suivantes :

• Effectuer l’analyse de médicaments et de métabolites contenus dans des échantillons biologiques (méthodes d’extraction bioanalytiques – SPE, LL, PP) pour des études de production et pour certaines évaluations de validation de méthodes par LC-MS/MS, conformément aux bonnes pratiques de laboratoire (BPL), aux réglementations de la Food and Drug Administration des États-Unis (FDA) et des principes de l’OECD et selon les procédures internes en place.
• Lire les procédures en vigueur et les appliquer.
• Compléter la documentation adéquatement liée au travail effectué.
• Analyser les chromatogrammes à l’aide d’un logiciel.
• Faire l’inventaire, entreposer, manipuler et jeter adéquatement les échantillons biologiques utilisés en laboratoire.
• Prendre part aux responsabilités du laboratoire tel que la préparation des solutions, la calibration des équipements et le lavage de la vaisselle de laboratoire.
• Être capable de prioriser et d’organiser plusieurs requêtes dans sa journée.
• Avoir des connaissances en lien avec les HPLC et les spectromètres de masse est un atout.
• Effectuer d’autres tâches connexes au besoin.

Biotrial Bioanalytical Services Inc. (BBS), a GLP-certified laboratory, located in Laval, looking for a Laboratory Analyst / Specialist to strengthen our team. Specialized in bioanalysis, our company offers custom bioanalytical services for drug evaluation and pharmacological research using advanced technologies such as mass spectrometry (LC/MS).
As a Laboratory Analyst / Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting daily laboratory operations and contributing to the execution of laboratory projects.

Under the supervision of the Bioanalytical Quality Control and Team Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Performing drug and metabolite analysis in biological samples (bioanalytical extraction methods – SPE, LL, PP) for production studies and certain method validation assessments using LC-MS/MS, in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, OECD principles, and established internal procedures.
• Read and follow current procedures.
• Complete the documentation related to the work performed.
• Analyzing chromatograms using appropriate software.
• Perform the inventory, storage, manipulation and discarding of biological samples used in laboratory.
• Taking part in general laboratory duties such as solution preparation, equipment calibration, and washing laboratory glassware.
• Being able to prioritize and organize multiple tasks throughout the day.
• Having prior knowledge related to HPLC and mass spectrometers is considered an asset.

Performing other related duties as required.
Le profil recherché

Le candidat idéal dispose des compétences suivantes :

• Diplôme d’études collégiales (D.E.C.) ou diplôme d’université (B.Sc.) de préférence en biochimie, chimie ou tout autre domaine associé en sciences.
• Une expérience dans un poste similaire ou toute expérience pertinente dans l’industrie pharmaceutique (connaissance des BPL est un atout).
• Anglais et français intermédiaire à l’écrit et à l’oral
• Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office.
• Une expérience dans les logiciels ThermoFisher Scientific Watson LIMS et Sciex Analyst est un atout.
• Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et de prioriser ses tâches efficacement.
• Capacité à s’organiser pour respecter les délais alloués.
• Flexibilité et adaptation à différent types de projets.
• Volonté d’apprendre constamment en lien avec les domaines thérapeutiques.
• Esprit d’équipe.
• Attitude positive, proactive et motivée.

The ideal candidate has the following skills:

• Collegial degree (D.E.C.) or University degree in biochemistry, chemistry or any other related field in science
• Experience in a similar position or any relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry (knowledge of GLP is an asset).
• Intermediate written and spoken English and French (bilingualism preferred).
• Computer skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ThermoFisher Scientific Watson LIMS and Sciex Analyst software is an asset.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work in an organized manner to respect the allocated timelines.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different types of projects.
• Have the desire to constantly learn in relation to pharmaceutic areas.
• Good team spirit.
• Positive attitude, proactive and motivated.
