Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chemist with Cannabis testing experience to join our team. As a Chemist, you will be responsible for conducting and overseeing various laboratory tests and experiments to analyze chemical compounds. Your expertise in wet chemistry, quality control, and analytical chemistry will be crucial in ensuring accurate results and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and experiments using a variety of techniques and equipment
- Analyze chemical compounds and substances to determine their composition and properties
- Develop and improve testing methods and procedures
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Use laboratory information management systems to record and manage data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development efforts
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
-Supervise laboratory analysts and technicians.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of wet chemistry techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in operating HPLC, LC/MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and other laboratory instruments
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Solid understanding of analytical chemistry principles and techniques
- Experience in quality control processes and procedures
-Experience in performing method verifications
- Knowledge of microbiology is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting experiments and recording data
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
- Previous experience working in a laboratory or research setting is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of chemical safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
