Responsibilities

  • Perform sample analysis using automated instrumentation; perform instrument calibration, maintenance, and repair
  • Sample management and sample preparation for analyses
  • Perform analytic sample preparation including co-precipitation techniques, micro-plating, acid leaching, and extractions.
  • Analyze for radionuclides using Alpha and Gamma Spectroscopy, Liquid Scintillation, and Gas Proportional Counting.
  • Ensure quality data is generated and within set quality limits
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Manual and the Employee Handbook
  • Other job duties as assigned

Desired Skills

  • Aptitude to operate, fix and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Strong computer skill to operate instrument software, LIMS program and company programs
  • Works well with others and independently with the ability to mutli-task
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide inter and intra-departmental technical questions to staff and supervisors
  • Dependable, self-motived, and detail orientated

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or other science field is required.
  • Radiochemistry experience in an private environmental lab is preferred.

This position is a full time position located in Casper Wyoming. Salary range is dependent on education, experience and skill.
