Description
The Analytical Chemist supports an R&D-driven demo campaign by generating high-quality analytical data to evaluate materials, processes, and product performance in a fast-moving, early-stage public company environment. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, responsible for applying established analytical methods while helping adapt testing approaches to evolving demo and development needs. The Analytical Chemist works closely with R&D, process engineering, and operations teams and reports to a laboratory supervisor or manager. Key Responsibilities: · Perform analytical testing of organic and inorganic materials to support R&D activities and demo campaign objectives. · Utilize established analytical methods, laboratory procedures, and instrumentation to evaluate chemical and physical properties. · Prepare reagents, standards, solutions, and test samples to support experimental and pilot-scale work. · Generate, analyze, and interpret data to assess material performance, process consistency, and demo results. · Document experimental methods and results; prepare clear technical reports and data summaries for internal stakeholders. · Support rapid iteration by adjusting testing workflows as demo campaign priorities evolve. · Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D scientists, engineers, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and refine processes. · Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and data integrity standards. · Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical methods and laboratory practices in a growing organization. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field. · 2-3 years of experience performing analytical testing in a laboratory setting using established methods and instrumentation. · Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, reliable data in a dynamic environment. · Ability to clearly document and communicate technical findings. · Comfortable working in an early-stage, evolving organization with shifting priorities. Preferred Skills · Experience supporting R&D, pilot-scale, or demonstration-scale programs. · Experience working with ICP-OES or ICP-MS · Familiarity with quality systems, data integrity practices, or regulated environments. · Experience working cross-functionally with engineering or operations teams. Pay range: $70,000- $85,000 annually plus annual bonus eligibility Work Environment The work environment will be a mix of a typical laboratory environment, mining site, and construction site. Noise level: Exposure will vary and include normal office noise, typical laboratory sounds (e.g., ventilation systems, equipment operation), and construction site noise depending on project phase and location.
