Overview Element has a current opening for an Intern to join our growing team in Ann Arbor MI. We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Chemistry Intern to join our collaborative team supporting both Research & Development (R&D) and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) projects. This internship is designed for individuals eager to learn laboratory techniques, regulatory practices, and analytical testing in a fast-paced environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced scientists and contributing to meaningful projects. Responsibilities Assist in performing analytical testing to support R&D and CGMP projects under guidance. Learn and apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) documentation standards. Support ongoing projects and gain exposure to project workflows and timelines. Participate in investigations involving deviations and Out of Specification (OOS) results to understand root cause analysis. Collaborate with team members to support problem-solving and process improvement efforts. Assist with routine laboratory testing and data recording. Skills / Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field. Interest in analytical chemistry and regulated laboratory environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, CRO, CDMO). Familiarity with analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis) through coursework or lab experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn structured procedures.
