Job Description Working hours are: Monday - Thursday, 12pm - 8:30pm and Friday, 12pm - 7:30pm As a Analytical Services Technician you will support the running of the Food Chemistry and Chromatography laboratory through timely sample registration. You will work closely with customers and laboratory teams to meet deadlines, manage subcontracted work, and maintain high service standards. Receive, sort, and accurately register customer samples into the LIMS system, ensuring all required information is complete and submitted on time. Support sample preparation and shipment to internal and external laboratories, including completion of customs paperwork. Maintain and manage stability sample storage under correct conditions. Manage sample-related queries, proactively resolving missing or incomplete information with relevant stakeholders and effective follow-up communication with clients. Prioritise customer samples based on urgency and specific client requirements. Build and maintain effective working relationships with partner labs (both internal and external) to ensure seamless workflow and service delivery. Responsible for supporting the sales and customer services team in administration and planning. Respond or direct customer enquiries, providing accurate information to ensure a high level of service and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal departments to identify and implement continuous improvements in the customer experience, service efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Perform general administrative duties such as photocopying, data entry, and document handling as needed. Qualifications Degree level qualification in Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental or other relevant subject is preferrable. Computer literate. Good standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skills. Motivated, enthusiastic, and a professional team player. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes consistently. Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage workload effectively in a busy environment. Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Customer-focused, with the ability to understand and respond to client needs. Passionate about delivering high-quality service.
