Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representative to join our commercial team, specialising in analytical laboratory instrument sales. This role involves promoting and selling a range of scientific instruments and consumables to academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, and industrial research customers. These include UHPLC, FPLC and GC systems, electrochemical (EC) analysers, sample prep for MALDI imaging, automated SPE, powder dosing and liquid handling robots.
You will be responsible for developing and managing the territory, building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities and delivering tailored solutions to meet customers’ research needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers (lab managers, procurement teams, researchers).
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical discussions, and application support in collaboration with product specialists.
  • Liaise with suppliers to provide product forecasts and feedback
  • Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and tender documents as required.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and table-top days to promote products and generate leads.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, applications, and market trends.
  • Use CRM tools to manage pipeline, track activity, and forecast sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical support, marketing, and customer service) to ensure customer satisfaction.
