Now hiring! Analytical Technician Attapulgus, GA. (Onsite) We are looking for an Analytical Technician to join our Catalyst team in Attapulgus. Come create chemistry with us! BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services. As an Analytical Technician for our Refining Catalyst business unit (EV/RR) you will build a meaningful career supporting FCC catalyst research, development, and testing at BASF’s Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) catalyst operations located in Attapulgus, GA. The function of this position is to operate, calibrate, and perform basic routine maintenance of a few gas chromatographers and a Scanning Electron Miscoscopy (SEM) to generate data in collaboration with R&D staff.During your 8-hour shift as a Analytical Technician, you will Run R&D samples on gas chromatographers and SEM. Support lab-unit operations that involve online gas chromatography. Work collaboratively with the analytical R&D team to plan and prioritize analytical tasks for optimum productivity Maintain and troubleshoot all instruments of responsibility and maintain accurate records of all data generated in an appropriate LIMS system. Create standard operating procedures as required and actively participate in all BASF safety practices and programs If you... Have a BS degree in Chemistry or related sciences or Associate degree with 2 years of applicable experience, OR HS diploma with 5+ years of experience. Have basic knowledge of laboratory equipment, analytical methods, and instrumentation. Have strong written / verbal communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills. Have competence in the use of MS Office tools. Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and equipment including detailed record keeping. Are able to lift and carry up to 25 lb as well as climb ladders and stairs.
