DESCRIPTION:

The Analytical R&D Team within Corteva Agriscience’s Crop Protection Discovery and Development organization is seeking an Analytical Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of the selected candidate is to support scientists in the execution of day-to-day tasks for the method development, non-GLP and GLP validations, and sample analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Chemistry or a related field Previous lab experience required; Experience with any of the following: HPLC, GC, LC/GC/MS, Karl Fisher, Titration, etc.
  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry is preferred
  • Effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to continually learn and adhere to all safety standards
  • Strong desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Drive, enthusiasm, and self-motivation

Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of ARDT scientists to support sample weighing, preparation, and analysis of active ingredients, intermediate, impurities, and formulation products etc. for quantitative and qualitative purpose.
  • Support non-GLP and GLP method validation lab experiments as needed.
  • Learn and operate analytical instrumentations for sample analysis e.g. HPLC, GC, LC/GC/MS etc. Routine maintenance of instruments and troubleshoot instrument issues.
  • Process analytical data and document the experiment and results timely to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Effectively interact with key stakeholders and maintain flexibility to accommodate urgent projects and reprioritize work as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently as needed.
  • Meet all the Corteva EHS&S compliance needs and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
