The Analytics Engineer contributes significantly to supporting data governance frameworks, ensuring the integrity, stewardship, and compliance of data within the Commercial and Grants functions. This involves enhancing data processes, collaborating with data owners, and promoting good governance practices throughout the data lifecycle.
This role requires a professional with a solid understanding of data quality principles and governance frameworks, possessing the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The GCG Data & Analytical Services team provides analytical support to both the Government Grants Management Function (GGMF) and the Government Commercial Function (GCF). We are involved in a broad range of projects, including publishing official statistics, developing governance frameworks, and improving data quality across the Commercial and Grants functions.
This role supports our Data Quality and Governance pillar, helping to embed robust data standards and ensure high levels of trust in the data used to drive decision-making across government.
The responsibilities of this role include:

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree minimum of 2:1 in a numerate discipline

TECHNICAL SKILLS

We’ll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:

  • Knowledge of assessing data quality
