Overview The Central Intelligence Solutions team are focused on providing data-driven solutions and insights across all business functions and studios. Central Intelligence Solutions includes the following teams: DataHub, Monitoring Solutions, Explore and Gaming Analytics. The overall purpose of role: Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data models, pipelines, and analytics infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making in the business and in line with the strategy of the analytics team. The lead will supply technical support to the Gaming Analytics Manager in terms of data modelling and data consumption in the team and wider business. Responsibilities Communication & presentation skills The role requires the ability to communicate with clear consistent techniques to our internal and external customers, customising communication based on audience. Leadership and mentorship the individual needs to demonstrate a vested interest and capability in mentorship and leadership. Cost monitoring The role requires an ability to monitor the cost of products built by the team, and to create avenues to optimise these costs. Data delivery The role requires the ability to gather requirements, understand data and understand data modelling techniques in order to deliver data to teams for consumption. Games and Commercial Environment The role requires the ability to understand the environment we are working and delivering in. Understanding and anticipating the questions and gaps in customer questions, promoting insights you can add value to the conversation Data Governance The role requires understanding of what the business requires in terms of data ownership, data, governance and data security and for us to adhere to these practices, extending where necessary. Data Engineering The role requires an understanding of the ETL process, the collection, storage and processing of big data, and what is required of these processes to efficiently answer business questions. Qualifications Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Sciences, Physics, Finance, Economics or Engineering Required experience: 7+ years in data/analytics engineering 2+ years in technical leadership Desirable Advanced knowledge of SQL, dbt, Python, Airflow, Git, CI/CD Sound understanding of data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) Advanced knowledge of data modeling (Kimball, Data Vault) Sound understanding of cloud platforms (GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Azure) Experience with data observability Architect and design dimensional data models (gold layer. smantic models) servicing the whole business Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, data scientists and other business stakeholders for their data model requirements Implement CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code for data workflows Mentor analytics engineers on best practices in data modeling, CI/CD, and quality assurance, and enforce engineering excellence Evaluate emerging data tools and determine their validity in the GG Analytics Engineering environment Provide technical direction and leadership for the analytics engineering function Drive continuous improvement and code excellence standards Collaborate with gaming analytics manager and cross-functional tech leaders to align priorities for analytics engineering function Collaborate with the analytics manager to design the roadmap for the analytics engineering ecosystem, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with goals of analytics function Champion a unified data model and promote interoperability across domains Partner with data engineering, data platform and architecture teams to future-proof the data stack Ensure Analytics Engineering solution costs are monitored and optimised Working with the Gaming analytics manager, build the technical strategy of the analytics engineering stream Collaborate with the data engineering team and data platform teams on sourcing strategies regarding architecture, master data management and other requirements for gold layer modelling Maintain semantic models built for all business units, used for the purposes of self-service Proven experience scaling data systems for analytics and BI Desirable 🌟 Equal Opportunities Statement Games Global is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
