ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an excellent opportunity for a Data Analytics and Insights Manager based at Adelaide or Melbourne.
In early 2024, the Australian Government selected BAE Systems and ASC Pty Ltd to build Australia’s new fleet of nuclear-powered submarines in a significant development in the AUKUS trilateral security pact between the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
We are currently seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about leading defence innovation and working in a highly collaborative environment, within a global team. This program will focus on developing advanced submarine capabilities, integrating cutting-edge technology, and fostering international cooperation among Australia, the UK, and the US. As we enter the crucial mobilisation phase of the contract, your expertise will be vital in developing strategic plans that can be delivered into actionable outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of analytics projects, including scoping, data exploration, model development, validation, and insight communication.
  • Manage the technology stack that delivers the Analytics and Insights capability.
  • Design and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs to track performance and identify opportunities.
  • Lead a team of analysts and data storytellers; provide mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Partner with business units to understand challenges and translate them into analytical problems.
  • Ensure all analytical outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with governance, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with emerging analytics trends, tools, and technologies.
