AutoNation is looking for a Manager of Analytics to lead the development of analytics solutions that deliver high impacts on financial and strategic business outcomes. This role will report to the Director, Pricing & Analytics and partner with technical and business leaders across the company. The ideal candidate will have a mix of high business acumen, broad technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills. The candidate will actively manage the trade-offs between speed and scalability to ensure maximum stakeholder satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 5 or more years in advanced analytics and reporting, turning data into actionable insights to solve complex business problems
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar, quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • Location: West or Central region as this position will be required to work on Pacific Time
  • Expert knowledge of SQL – extract, manipulate, clean, and analyze large datasets
  • Proficient developing reports and dashboards from scratch using visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Skilled leveraging Excel to run analysis and create forecasting models
  • Tenacious self-starter – able to recognize problems, propose paths forward, and execute deliverables that drive business outcomes
  • Effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
  • Develop executive-facing reports, dashboards, and metrics that provide clarity into all things Autonomous Vehicle Fleet Services by explaining the ‘why’ beyond the ‘what’.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to create analytics solutions that drive and measure our performance against our Autonomous Vehicle Partner’s SLAs.
  • Collaborate with Autonomous Vehicle Partner’s IT engineers to build scalable solutions such as enterprise reporting and master data management structures.
  • Perform analyses, interpret output, derive implications, and make operational recommendations to increase efficiency and profitability through statistical analyses and experimental design.
  • Establish a high performance, data-driven culture where speed matters.
