Job Description Griffith University is seeking an experienced and motivated Anatomy Facility Manager to lead and oversee our anatomy facilities, ensuring safe, ethical, and compliant operation in support of teaching, research, and donor programs. This role works closely with the Chair of Anatomy to ensure compliance with the Transplantation and Anatomy Act and Regulations (QLD) and other relevant legislation. The Anatomy Facility Manager is responsible for the operational, technical, and administrative management of anatomy facilities, including governance, reporting, and compliance frameworks. The role leads technical and professional staff, oversees systems and processes, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to align with best practice, risk mitigation, and University standards. Key responsibilities include: Managing and reporting for the technical and administrative obligations of the anatomy facilities to ensure Griffith University’s complies with all relevant legislation Supervising and leading technical and administrative staff within the facility and associated specimen preparation facilities, and overseeing the University’s Body Donation Program Effectively collaborating with the Technical Services team in Health, academic staff, and external stakeholders About you To be successful in this position, you will hold relevant academic qualification in human anatomy, or equivalent qualifications and experience. In addition to the above, you will demonstrate: Management experience in operating human anatomy laboratories with an understanding of the Queensland Transplantation & Anatomy Act, Coroners Act and associated Regulations (or willing to learn). Familiarity with the reporting obligations and documentation of the operations within anatomy facilities. A genuine passion for innovation in anatomical preparation and learning tools, with a strong desire to build a career within this field. Experience in the administration of a Body Donation Program. High level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate with a wide variety of partners, clients and stakeholders. What we can offer This is a continuing, full-time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $113,713 - $127,923 per annum + 17% superannuation.
