Mildred Elley, a private multi campus institution, is seeking a part time Anatomy & Physiology instructor and/or Medical Terminology at itsAlbany, NY location.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position requires the instructor to teach Anatomy & Physiology and/or Medical Terminology classes to students in healthcare-oriented programs of study. The Anatomy & Physiology classes will consist of both a lecture and lab portion. The lab portion may involve dissecting different animal specimens and virtual labs.
As a part time instructor, the candidate is required to teach the class and render assistance to those students who need it. We encourage our instructors to make themselves accessible to other students as well, and any tutoring hours are paid outside of the normal adjunct instructor stipend (being hired for any Mildred Elley position does not guarantee a tutoring position).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree
• Consistent on campus, flexible, day, evening and weekend availability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 15 credits in Biological Sciences/Medical Terminology (combined, whether undergraduate or graduate)

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior teaching experience in General Biology, medical terminology and/or Anatomy & Physiology is preferred, not required

• Teaching on campus 1-2 days per week. (Day, Evening and weekend classes available)
• 8 Week commitment to each course at a time.
• Courses consist of lectures and labs both in person and virtual

• Courses taught are 3-4 credit courses
  Compensation: Based on Qualifications. $30-35 per hour.
