We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate BSN nursing students on-site in Miramar, FL. Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab (BIOS-251 thru BIOS-256): This is a four-course sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach. Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization. Topics include: Basic anatomical and directional terminology, muscle tissues, fundamental concepts and principles of cell biology, history and the integumentary and skeletal systems Fundamental concepts and principles of the muscular and nervous systems, special senses and the endocrine system Cardiovascular, immune and respiratory systems Digestive, urinary and reproductive systems Courses may meet once per week or twice a week for eight weeks. The face-to-face interaction in lab and classroom is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment. Commitment is on a course-by-course basis. Responsibilities Develops and provides students with an approved Covista Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives. Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials. Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students. Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning. Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories. Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives. Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students. Completes other duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Qualifications Earned a master's or doctorate degree in the course subject, with a minimum of 18 or more graduate credit hours earned directly in the topic. Are able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from a regionally accredited institution (or a NACES approved US course-by-course equivalency evaluation for degrees earned and conferred outside of the US). Have taught or been told you’re a “natural” at teaching and helping others learn. Possess genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning. Have exceptional subject matter expertise as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional Information Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus: In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
