Job Brief: We’re seeking a highly motivated Android Developer to join our mobile engineering team. You’ll help design, develop, and maintain our Android applications while growing your craft through collaboration, code reviews, and hands-on delivery. In this role, you’ll contribute to team discussions, learn our architecture and standards, and help ensure our apps deliver strong performance and usability. Here’s What You’ll Do: Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin (and Java as needed) Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and Android development guidelines Help ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by participating in testing, debugging, and performance tuning Participate in code reviews (both giving and receiving feedback) to align with team standards and improve code quality Keep up to date with the latest mobile technology trends, techniques, and best practices What You Bring to the Table: 2+ years of programming experience in Android development (preferably Kotlin) Working knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, and best practices. Familiarity with integrating and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience with modern tools, frameworks and associated patterns like Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/RxJava, OkHttp, Android build variants. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
