Description

Anesthesia - Anesthesia Technician Basic Purpose of the Job Assists Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and other medical staff working on anesthesia teams. Clean, maintain and prepare anesthesia equipment for use in surgical procedures. Minimum Education Graduate from a formal, accredited Anesthesia Technician training program or equivalent preferred. Minimum Work Experience Two (2) years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred. Required Licenses / Certifications Current BLS Certification Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Passes Anesthesia Technician competencies as compiled and directed by GRMC Able to complete on-the-job training as directed by manager Demonstrates knowledge of anesthesia administration and its delivery systems. Able to assemble and troubleshoot all equipment as necessary for procedures. Ensures all necessary equipment is in the room prior to the start of a case Possesses communication and interpersonal skills that can aptly interact with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and patients. Possesses organization skills to adeptly manage tasks such as disinfecting, stocking supplies, etc

Responsibilities

The Anesthesia Technician assists medical staff by preparing, cleaning, and maintaining anesthesia equipment for surgical procedures. They are responsible for ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning correctly in the operating room.
