UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time Anesthesia Associate to support our world-class anesthesia providers and deliver exceptional care to patients during critical moments. What You’ll Do: Work varied shifts — weekday evenings, weekend daylight, and nights — supporting patient care 24/7. Assist in Trauma and Transplant procedures, including: Rapid blood infusion Difficult airway assistance Cell salvage and jet ventilation Swan Ganz catheter and liver transplant bypass cannula assistance Support anesthesia providers across all procedure areas: OR, MRI, GI Lab, Cath Lab, EP Lab, and IR suites. Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for anesthesia procedures to ensure smooth and safe patient flow. Troubleshoot critical equipment such as Anesthesia gas machines, GE B850 patient monitoring, Edwards CCO monitoring, and TEE/Ultrasound systems. Maintain stock levels and organize surgical suites for quick turnaround between cases. Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies. If no previous hospital or pre-hospital training, must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to progress to an Anesthesia Technician position within 6 months to 1 year of hire.
