OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting anesthesia providers by ensuring the availability and functionality of anesthesia equipment and supplies. This position is vital in maintaining high standards of patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, particularly in trauma and critical care settings.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with hospital medicine, emergency medicine, medical-surgical units, and acute care settings is preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic is advantageous.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications related to critical care or anesthesia technology are a plus.
  • Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) management and inventory control processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Assist anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists during procedures by providing necessary support.
  • Monitor and manage inventory control of anesthesia-related supplies, ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including OR, PICU, ICU, and emergency medicine teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices to effectively assist in patient management.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in anesthesia technology.
