OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center and possess a strong background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and critical care. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective administration of anesthesia during surgical procedures. The Anesthesia Technician will work closely with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center preferred.
  • Background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or critical care is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and inventory management practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic is a plus.
  • Previous OR experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

    Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout the process.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and control of anesthesia-related supplies.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within EMR/EHR systems.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide support in critical care settings, including PICU and ICU environments.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and relevant technologies.
