We are currently seeking a passionate individual who is eager to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment. The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for ensuring that anesthesia supplies and equipment are readily available for anesthesia providers. Responsibilities Designated Supplies are available when needed. Little or no time is consumed by clinical personnel in acquiring items that have been predetermined to be on established lists. Anesthetizing areas and equipment are consistently ready in regard to appearance and sanitary conditions. They are clean and free from bodily fluids, dust and dirt. They are free from contamination by communicable diseases. Equipment is consistently present and ready for use. Anesthesia machines are tested before the first case of the day. Necessary accessories are also present and available for use. Requested supplies, equipment and services are delivered in a timely manner. Expected duties performed in an efficient professional manner. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Medical students actively matriculating into a medical school program with an interest in anesthesiology. Or High school diploma or GED; prefer at least 30 hours or equivalent of college or technical training with emphasis on biology and Human Anatomy. At least one year of experience in the health-related field or in basic/biologic science with working knowledge of aseptic techniques and procedures. An Associate's degree in a health-related field or current enrollment in an Associates program in a health-related field can substitute for work experience. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a frequent driver Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
Responsibilities
The Anesthesia Technician ensures that all anesthesia supplies and equipment are available, clean, and functional for providers. This includes testing anesthesia machines and maintaining sanitary conditions in anesthetizing areas.
