SCHEDULE FOR THIS POSITION IS 2ND SHIFT 1400-2230 MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, WITH 1 SELF ASSIGNED WEEKEND DAY A MONTH, THAT SHIFT IS 0600-1430

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Medical terminology
  • Basic personal computer skills
  • Medical supply knowledge

Responsibilities
  • Provides the operating room staff, surgeons, and anesthesia personnel with the necessary supplies and equipment for the surgical procedures
  • Ensures utilized equipment (included but not limited to: glidescope/bronchoscope/difficult intubation equipment) is appropriately cleaned, stored and in proper working order prior to use.
  • Submits work orders in a timely manner for needed maintenance/repairs.
  • Schedules preventative maintenance as required and follows up on completion.
  • Performs 1st level testing and maintenance on anesthesia equipment
  • Trouble shoots issues with anesthesia machines and other anesthesia equipment
  • Maintains designated par levels of anesthesia supplies and ensures carts are stocked with immediate use items used for operative procedures.
  • Maintains inventory/stock levels, ordering, acquiring supplies and minor instruments and equipment
  • Participates in evaluating new equipment/supplies that pertains to the anesthesia service
