Title: Anesthesia Technician Job Type: Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Anesthesiology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Assumes responsibility for the general inspection of all operating room equipment that is utilized by the Anesthesia staff; reports on any malfunctioning machinery; calibrates all electronic equipment, as well as sterilizing anesthesia machinery prior to surgery; keeps all anesthesia supplies stocked and reorders them when necessary; maintains a clean anesthesia workspace in the Operating Room and provides assistance in the set up of anesthesia equipment and supplies in individual anesthetizing locations. Starting hourly rate is $24.18. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience 1. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in an operating room setting; or 2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in an operating room setting. NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Responsibilities
The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for inspecting and maintaining operating room equipment used by the Anesthesia staff. This includes calibrating electronic equipment, sterilizing machinery, stocking supplies, and assisting in the setup of anesthesia equipment.
