UPMC Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Flex Anesthesia Technician to support our growing case volume at the CHP North Campus Surgery Center. This position is scheduled for Monday–Thursday daylight shifts, offering an excellent work-life balance with no nights or weekends. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical experience, with anesthesia technician experience preferred. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting anesthesia providers and ensuring efficient, high-quality perioperative care across a dynamic surgical environment. Responsibilities: Manage anesthesia supplies, drugs, and inventory; stock carts and surgical suites per par levels. Transport, set up, test, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment, including gas machines and specialty devices. Support on-site and off-site anesthesia cases; assist with room turnovers to minimize downtime. Assist anesthesia providers with patient preparation, IVs, invasive lines, airway management, and specialty procedures. Disassemble, decontaminate, sterilize equipment, and report equipment issues. Operate Blood Cell Saver and perform approved point-of-care testing. Deliver lab samples, retrieve blood products, and support perioperative care. Communicate effectively with OR and anesthesia staff; maintain accessibility and accurate records. Keep work areas clean, organized, and fully stocked. High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of anesthesia, emergency/medical or related experience required or Graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program required Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) preferred Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
