Located just northeast of downtown Nashville off I65, Skyline is a 353-bed facility and serves as a comprehensive stroke and neurology center. As an accredited chest pain center with PCI, TriStar Skyline is a leading provider of emergency heart care. Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Burn Center. About the Job Skyline has a 6-physician call pool with one physician in-house 24/7 The only 24-hour in-house shifts are on Fridays and Saturdays (or holidays). Schedule below entails 17 weeks of vacation, but also 17 weekends of work. The average physician will do 8-9 weeks of night float over the course of the year. Very rare call-back on backup call, along with having 2 CRNAs on call 24/7, so the second physician only needed in the event of three emergency cases Weekday schedule: Four physicians working per week Three Physicians start each weekday, covering 9-10 rooms/sites total. One physician works 7am- 7pm, the other two physicians peel off in order as rooms come down based on the rest of the weekly schedule. One Physician works 7p-7a night float from Sunday – Thursday evenings. They then have the weekend off. The other two Physicians in the call pool are on vacation Weekend Schedule Weekends covered by two physicians One physician works 24 hour in-house shift Friday, is backup call Saturday, and then works 7a-7p Sunday One physician works day shift Friday and backup Friday evening, 24 hour in-house shift Saturday, backup Sunday 7a-7p, then returns to start night float Sunday evening 7p-7a. Qualifications All Anesthesiologists must be either an M.D. or D.O. with the completion of an approved Anesthesiology Residency program.• Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology• Anesthesiologist must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements for the hospitals they will have privileges. Responsibilities
The Anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia care in a Level 1 trauma center, managing patient care during surgical procedures. They will participate in a call pool and work both weekday and weekend shifts as part of a collaborative team.
