NOTE: This position is open to C2C, 1099 or full-time employment. The candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or sponsored H1B). This is a remote opportunity; candidate must be based in the United States; ET time zone work schedule. Preference is given to candidates who are local to the Baltimore MD/Washington DC corridor.

Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or sponsored H1B is acceptable.
  • Preference given to candidates local to the Baltimore MD/Washington DC corridor.
  • Must have 8+ years of programming experience in software development or maintenance.
  • Must have 7+ years of front-end development experience, with 4+ years in Angular.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in IT systems analysis and programming.
  • Expert-level Angular skills and the ability to integrate with APIs, data services, and evolving AI microservices.
  • Experience delivering web applications in AI-driven environments or data-rich enterprise platforms.
  • Strong expertise with Angular 12+, RxJS, NgRx, TypeScript, and SCSS/CSS3.
  • Experience integrating with AI or machine learning services via REST APIs (e.g., chatbot platforms, NLP models, classification APIs).
  • Experience building conversational UI, AI-assisted forms, dynamic UI rendering, or data visualizations (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js, ngx-charts).
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, especially when surfacing AI results to diverse users.
  • Proficient in using Figma or similar tools for implementing UX designs and mockups.
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence), Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines for front-end deployments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with a history of successful collaboration across IT, operations, and business teams to plan, deploy, and support mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing efficient solutions in complex environments.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline, or 3+ years of equivalent experience in a related field. Master’s degree is PLUS.
  • Exposure to AI product design, feedback loops, and explainable AI (XAI) in the UI is a PLUS

Responsibilities
  • Lead front-end development efforts for intelligent applications that integrate AI-powered features such as chat interfaces, predictive alerts, smart forms, and visual analytics.
  • Work closely with product managers, UX designers, backend developers, and data scientists, to help bring machine learning outcomes and AI insights to life within web-based user interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain complex UI components using Angular (v12+), integrated with AI/ML services such as smart prompts, classifiers, and chatbots.
  • Collaborate with AI product teams to design responsive, intuitive interfaces that present model-driven insights to end users.
  • Consume and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints exposed by AI/ML pipelines and backend decision engines.
  • Work with UX and data teams to display model predictions, confidence levels, explanations, and feedback loops in accessible ways.
  • Implement real-time user interaction features like autocomplete, recommendation, interactive charts, and search filtering powered by AI services.
  • Ensure performance optimization, accessibility (508 compliance), and responsive design across devices and browsers.
  • Build testable, modular, and scalable front-end code using unit and E2E testing frameworks (i.e. Jasmine, Karma, Cypress).
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver incremental AI-enabled features in alignment with sprint goals.

Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The C2C or 1099 rate range for this position is $51 - $72/hour. Full-time salary will be adjusted for benefits, etc
