We are recruiting on behalf of an established technology company based in High Wycombe that develops cutting-edge conference, communication and audio-visual solutions used by organisations around the world.

As part of a collaborative software development team, you'll play a key role in developing and enhancing browser-based applications that provide intuitive, responsive user experiences and support real-time communication with specialist hardware and software systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Front-End Web Developer looking to work on innovative products in a friendly and supportive environment, with the flexibility of hybrid working.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining modern, responsive web applications.
Building intuitive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Developing real-time browser functionality using JavaScript and Server-Sent Events (SSE).
Working closely with software developers, engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and real-time data services.
Ensuring applications are accessible, performant and compatible across modern browsers.
Troubleshooting, debugging and optimising existing applications.
Contributing to code reviews and following development best practices.

About You

We're looking for someone with strong front-end development experience and a passion for building high-quality web applications.

Essential Skills

Strong commercial experience with:
HTML5
CSS3
JavaScript (ES6+), including Server-Sent Events (SSE)
Experience developing responsive web applications.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
Experience using Git or other version control systems.
Good understanding of web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Desirable Skills

Knowledge or experience of conferencing or unified communications technologies.
Experience with real-time web applications.
Familiarity with WebSockets.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
Experience working within an Agile development environment.

Salary of £50,000–£60,000 per annum
