Hands-On Animal Care Experience - From walking dogs and monitoring patients to assisting technicians, you will stay active and engaged throughout your shift. Schedule & Hours: Full-Time 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating weekends required Some holidays required What This Role Really Looks Like: This is an active, overnight animal care position in a veterinary hospital setting. Cleaning and sanitation are a major and essential part of this role. You will help reset and prepare the hospital for the next day while ensuring hospitalized pets receive attentive overnight monitoring. Core Responsibilities: Hospital Cleaning & Sanitation A significant portion of this role supports hospital safety and infection control. Thorough cleaning of kennels, treatment areas, exam rooms, and common spaces. Disinfecting surfaces according to AAHA and hospital standards. Proper disposal of medical and hazardous waste. Restocking bedding, supplies, and cleaning materials. Maintaining a clean, organized veterinary hospital environment. Animal Care & Monitoring Provide fresh food, water, and clean bedding. Walk and comfort dogs as needed. Monitor hospitalized patients overnight and promptly report changes. Assist with medication administration as directed. Monitor vital signs once trained. Troubleshoot IVC pumps and basic monitoring equipment with training. Bathe patients when needed. Team Support Assist credentialed technicians with safe animal restraint. Support catheter placement and patient handling when appropriate. Communicate clearly with the medical team regarding patient status. Work independently overnight with strong accountability and attention to detail. You May Be a Great Fit If You: Have a genuine love for animals and a calm, patient personality.
