JOB SUMMARY

The position involves work providing leadership necessary to implement policies and plans as defined by the elected County officials, coordinate resources available for addressing the public safety needs of county residents from animals and the assurance of animal welfare within the County. Work involves supervising and motivating division personnel; planning, coordinating and managing the operations of the County Animal Control Division and the County Animal Shelter; supervising and conducting investigations of alleged violations of County and State ordinances governing animal control and animal welfare; and training division personnel.
