Wigan & Leigh College are looking for an experienced Animal Management Technician on a full time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work for the College in its new animal management facility. We would like to hear from candidates who are committed to working in the education sector and have a passion for working with animals. This role involves travel across sites and therefore requires a full driving license and access to a vehicle. Ideally candidates will have previous experience in a similar role working with a range of animals such as small mammals and/or exotics is essential, large animal / aquatics, dog grooming is desirable. You will need to be organised and support the animal management team with their planning around the provision. You will work with learners across all levels of the provision and need to be able to communicate with a range of learners, lecturers and all college staff as the role will be central to the management of the animals in our care.
