Position: Animator, Sr Lead. (Temporary)

Location: Santa Monica, CA (Onsite)

• Salary Range: $64.62 - $96.92 USD hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

Company 3 currently has openings for a project hire an Animator, Sr Lead. to work on projects within our VFX department. This position will be located in Santa Monica.
The perfect candidate needs to be a dependable, team player with a great attitude, and be flexible with our fast turnarounds. They will work closely with the VFX Supervisor and VFX Producer in achieving the highest creative and technical standards of work.

The Animator, Sr. will lead, ensuring high-quality results that meet the creative vision of the project. They will work closely with VFX Supervisor to interpret and adapt designs into full animation sequences. They will provide creative solutions to meet artistic and technical challenges. Other duties include:

• Provide expertise in maintaining traditional animation’s unique qualities while working in a digital environment.
• Collaborate in the creative process, offering input and ideas for enhancing visual storytelling.
• Communicate effectively with the production team and other artists as required.
• Ideation and creation of animation ideas for VFX sups to choose from, which are then put forward to the finishing animators.
• High level of animation of mechanical objects & products in a fast-paced turn around environment.
• Work may also include previs and animation tests
• Animate using effective storytelling skills through knowledge of camera angles, camera animation and shot framing.
• Communicate effectively with the production team and other artists as required.
