WB Games Avalanche - Animator Avalanche Software, a division of Warner Brothers Games Inc. seeks an Animator. Join the team who created Hogwarts Legacy, a new open world, action RPG set in the Wizarding World. As an Animator at Avalanche Software, you'll be at the forefront of creating captivating character performances and fluid gameplay animations. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to craft unforgettable experiences for players worldwide. Key Responsibilities Create quality keyframe animations for characters, creatures, and environmental elements Collaborate with the Animation, Design, and Engineering teams to create new exciting, mind blowing systemic animations Participate in motion capture sessions and process mocap data for in-game use Contribute to the evolution of our animation pipeline and workflow optimizations Work closely with art directors to ensure animations align with the game's visual style and narrative goals Stay current on animation trends and techniques Qualifications 3+ years of professional game animation experience Shipped at least one AAA title as an animator Proficient knowledge of Maya and Unreal Engine 5's animation systems General technical knowledge of animation technologies, including state machines, blend trees, and motion matching Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy, locomotion, and performance Experience with procedural animation techniques and runtime animation systems Proficiency in animating both realistic and stylized characters A natural team player who fosters collaboration and inspires others across departments Strong communication skills, ensuring clear and proactive interaction with animation and other teams Portfolio demonstrating a range of animation styles and technical proficiency Bonus Skills Experience developing animation tools is a plus Character rigging experience is a plus How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
