Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Anime and Painting & Drawing Instructor to lead after-school art classes for elementary-aged students. The instructor will guide students in exploring artistic techniques, improving fine motor skills, building confidence, and expressing creativity through structured art lessons. The instructor will also guide students through the fundamentals of anime and cartoon drawing—covering character design, facial expressions, proportions, and storytelling—while encouraging each participant’s unique artistic style. This role requires a positive, engaging teaching style and the ability to manage small groups across two age ranges. Responsibilities Plan and lead weekly 60-minute drawing lessons tailored to school age participants Teach foundational and intermediate techniques in anime and cartoon art Demonstrate step-by-step drawing methods, shading, and color use Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in a supportive environment Prepare lesson materials and manage classroom setup and cleanup Maintain attendance and communicate effectively with site staff and parents Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere Qualifications 2+ years of experience in art 1+ years in teaching art Has a reliable mode of transportation Competent in creating lesson plans Ability to adapt lessons for multiple age groups and skill levels. Experience teaching or working with children in an educational or recreational setting. Strong background in visual arts, including painting, drawing, and basic art techniques.
